Family Diversity Projects is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit founded in 1995. We are devoted to helping eliminate prejudice, stereotyping, bullying, harassment, and discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, race, national origin, religion, and disabilities of all kinds. We present stories of real people in eight award-winning, traveling photo-text exhibits that tour nationwide and can be hosted in schools (K-12), colleges, universities, houses of worship, libraries, workplaces, museums, corporate headquarters, conferences, community gatherings, and more.

“We are getting excellent feedback. The photos are in an incredibly well trafficked area – the ‘main street’ of our library, and I constantly see people stopping by and looking and reading the descriptions...We were incredibly pleased with the quality of the exhibit, the diversity of the families represented, the ease of set-up, and the encouragement from Family Diversity Projects to turn this into part of a larger project that fit our community.”

- Reese C. Kelly, Ph.D, Assistant Dean and LGBTQIA Advisor, Dartmouth College

Benefits of Hosting An Exhibit

At a time when censorship and division are spreading, these exhibits serve as essential tools for dialogue, inclusion, and education. Hosting one is simple, but the impact is lasting, and showcases the belief that every single person deserves dignity and respect.
